Team Management
Access Documentation
Document external access and assign it to members and groups.
Access Documentation
With access documentation, you record who has access to external systems — e.g. dev servers, AWS, hosting panels, or other tools outside TeamPanel.
Where to find the page
Administration → Access Documentation
Create access
- Open the overview and click Create access.
- Enter a name (e.g. "Dev server access").
- Optionally add a description and an icon.
- Save.
After that, you can assign members and groups.
Assign members and groups
On the detail page of an access entry:
- Assign members – direct assignment to individual people
- Assign groups – all members of the group see the access entry
For each assignment, you can optionally set:
- Note – e.g. onboarding hint or ticket reference
- Expiration date – after this date, the assignment is considered expired
Direct vs. via group
| Source | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Direct | The member was assigned individually. |
| Via group | The member sees the access entry because their group is assigned. |
Permissions
| Permission | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Manage access documentation | Create, edit, and delete access entries |
| Assign access documentation | Assign or remove members and groups |
Tip
For the overview, the assignment permission is often enough. To create new access entries, you need the management permission.
